This individual will assist our Front Office Manager lead our Front Office Team to ensure the effortless and seamless movement of guests in and out of the hotel, and to provide exceptional levels of service throughout our guests' stay. The Assistant Front Office Manager will assist in the responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the front office guest services team, PBX, and bell staff. The Assistant Front Office Manager will assist in assuring guest service standards are being applied consistently and that all hotel and department policies and procedures are followed and adhered to.

  • Supervise the night employees; interview, recommend hiring, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, recommend and conduct performance reviews, resolve problems, provide open communications and recommend discipline and termination, as appropriate. (30%)
  • Implement company (CHRCO/Franchiser) programs, supervise the daily operations of the night cleaning staff (Housekeeping and Stewarding) and oversee the Front Desk to ensure compliance with all financial controls, LSOPs & SOPs & to provide an optimum level of quality service and hospitality are provided to the hotel customers. (20%)
  • Supervise the balancing, reconciliation and closing of various daily accounts and prepare the daily statements to provide accurate, timely information to management while ensuring proper controls are maintained. (20%)
  • Maintain the computerized accounting system through daily and weekly backups and periodic rebuilds to ensure the accurate, smooth operations. (5%)
  • Respond to customer issues/complaints/problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service. (10%)
  • Maintain preparedness and implement emergency procedures when appropriate to protect the hotel guests, staff and assets. (5%)
  • Prepare reports and communications to the Front Office Manager and the Hotel Executive Committee members on night issues/problems and other pertinent information regarding night operations. (5%)



Must have the ability to communicate in English.  Self-starting personality with an even disposition.   Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.  Can communicate well with guests.  Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.  Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and service, wines and preparation techniques.   Excellent mathematical abilities in order to determine and track inventory, controls, revenue productions, and other hotel financial statements.  Ability to work entire shift standing and moving about in restaurants and kitchen area.  Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.  Ability to lift/carry weight up to 50 pounds.  Ability to push/and pull carts of products weighing up to 150 pounds
