The first key position to be filled is the General Manager, who will work with ownership, management, and contractors to ensure a smooth process and timely opening. This energetic and dynamic person will also be responsible for creating and maintaining a customer-driven hotel with vision that inspires hotel associates to do their best, achieving both product quality and exceptional service standards.

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:

  1. Be fully involved in pre-opening activities, including working with owners, Crescent Hotels and contractors.
  2. Assist in recruiting and hiring key management positions.
  3. Be able to deal with all administrative and financial tasks, including annual business plan, budgeting, forecasting, reviewing and interpreting reports, purchasing, as well as AP/AR/P&L.
  4. Be an outstanding communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the demonstrated ability to interact appropriately with guests, managers and associates, corporate office, ownership, and local businesses and associations.
  5. Be a key part of recruiting, hiring, and supervising managers in the efficient operation of their respective area(s). Meet with, develop and delegate improvement plans for operation and review performance of management team.\
  6. Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and approve discipline and all terminations.
  7. Participate in community affairs and maintain positive public image for Crescent and hotel. Meet with potential and current clients and promote hotel
  8. Physically tour and visually inspect property on a daily basis. Monitor cost control, property condition, cleanliness and quality of product and service throughout hotel. Greet and maintain rapport with associates and customers.
  9. Travel to attend corporate meetings, sales trips and serve on committees such as Research, Development and Standards committee.
  10. Appropriately handle associate issues in conjunction with Human Resources following Crescent policies.
  11. Perform any other job related duties as assigned.


  • Must have a minimum of two years' experience as a General Manager.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite of products, and the ability to learn new software quickly, and prior experience with computerized accounting systems.
  • Previous experience in a pre-opening environment is preferred.
  • Hospitality degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of local market
