POSITION: Boat Dock Attendant

JOB OVERVIEW:  Greet and serve the guests aboard the passenger vessel.

REPORTS TO:       Boat Captain

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Guest service – assist quests with snacks, beverage service, and other requests as needed

* Hands on deck assistance to Captain

* Restocking of product

* Awareness of boat and water safety

* Clean boat, restrooms, empty trash, and other cleaning duties as necessary

* Other guest assistance duties as necessary to provide excellent service to guests aboard passenger vessel.

Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on a frequent basis.

Must be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)

Must have the ability to communicate in English.  Self-starting personality with an even disposition.  Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.  Can communicate well with guests.  Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.  Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.  Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.

Prior customer service experience preferred, CPR certification required after hire if not already certified.

We are hiring full-time and part-time positions.

In order to maintain a positive guest and associate experience, your work habits should always meet and strive to exceed hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality and attendance.  You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, have the ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

Safety & Security:

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent Hotels & Resorts.  Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
