JOB OVERVIEW:

Responsible for posting, balancing and settling charges for rooms, food and beverage, and resort amenities. Maintains files and resets the system for daily operations. Also works as front desk agent and provides customer service. Works an overnight shift.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCIONS:

• Run night audit reports.

• Accounts for and balances all daily sales from outlets.

• Makes corrections and adjustments to balance system.

• Runs back up of all resort activity in system.

• Prepares all paperwork for accounting.

• Posts room charges.

• Runs end of day in system.

• Works at front desk to provide check in and out services for guests.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite of programs, including Word and Excel.

• Must be able to comprehend reading materials, speak, read and write English.

• Basic Knowledge of accounting, mathematical skills and computing skills.

• Requires customer service experience and/or resort experience.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• A degree in a hospitality related industry is also a plus but not required.

• Multi tasking, planning and organization skills.

• Knowledge of SMS Software valued, but not required.

• Extremely dependable and timely.

• Requires organizational and follow-up skills.

• Ability to work unsupervised on a 3rd shift.

• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English.  Self-starting personality with an even disposition.  Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.    Can communicate well with guests.  Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.  Basic mathematical skills and ability to make accurate mathematical calculations using a 10-key.  Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.    Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent.  Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
