Conduct day to day operation of the hotel Human Resource department which includes but not limited to: Creating a positive environment focusing on associate recognition, greet and communicate effectively in a timely fashion with internal and external guests to the Human Resource department, assisting with Crescent and hotel brand training to foster positive attitudes towards company culture and goals, coordination of company benefits enrollment process, respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, programs and escalating associate concerns and issues.
Create or update Human Resource bulletin boards and other posting locations as needed.
Assist with employee relations events and recognition, as needed, e.g. Rising Star program, Anniversary Awards program, hotel brand required meetings, etc.
Explain elements of various benefits to associates as required. Assist with distribution of enrollment forms. Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision insurance, Life and Disability insurance, Flexible Spending accounts, Tuition Assistance, 401k and Paid Time Off.
Assist with filing and monitoring Worker Compensation claims.
Prepare department correspondence and memos as needed.
Maintain accurate files. Assists with the filing of associate paperwork.
Schedule and hold orientation sessions for new hires and prepare necessary paperwork.
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Some Human resource or new hire experience required. Hotel experience preferred.
