  • Responds in a timely manner to incoming group/catering business opportunities.
  • Ensures that all business is booked within hotel parameters.
  • Conducts hotel site inspections and client presentations.
  • Creates contracts and other related booking documentation as required. Manages and maintains client account files.
  • Prospects for new business – participates in sales blitzes, cold calling and contacting former clients to solicit new business and attends industry events/programs as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels (HelmsBriscoe/Conference Direct, DMI, Crescent Global Sales) to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.
  • Targets group accounts, markets, or segments with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation.
  • Strives to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals by closing the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs.
  • Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
  • Builds and maintains strong client relationships.
  • Works collaboratively with Horseshoe Bay Resort Revenue Management, Convention Services, Food and Beverage and other hotel counterparts to drive revenue, ensure customer satisfaction and increase market share.
  • Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
  • Provides accurate, complete, and effective turnover to Sales Coordinator to then turnover to Conference Services.
  • Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality, service levels and handling the complaint appropriately.
  • Develops and implements an effective sales plan.  Executes designated sales strategies to develop and solicit specific accounts to achieve revenue goals.
