Description
Staybridge Suites West Edmonton is looking for an exciting & enthusiastic addition to our housekeeping team!

The Public Area Attendant is a front line professional that welcomes guests by maintaining the cleanliness of administration offices, Lobby, and all common/public areas of the hotel. The Public Area Attendant must represent the hotel through excellence in cleanliness, professional appearance and maintenance of service standards at the highest level.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for the deep cleaning of common and public areas of the hotels.
- Interact with guests to promote a positive image of the property.
- Provide guests with information on hotel and facilities.
- Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
- Push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash and recyclables.
- Document any mechanical problems.
- Special projects on a seasonal basis.
- Complete other duties as assigned or required.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have the ability to communicate in English.
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Can communicate well with guests.
- Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
- Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
- Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, and stand and walk public areas for extended periods of time.
- Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to understand and follow directions, and perform job functions under limited supervision.
- Must be able to work varied shift work, including weekends and holidays.
- Highly organized, results oriented and ability to work in a multi-functional team environment.
- Must be completely familiar with the role during hotel emergencies, including fire alarms, medical emergencies, the use of Incident Reports and Logbooks.
- Provincial legislation requires employees to work safely and cooperate with their employer by following the health and safety rules for the job.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Security clearance required upon offer of employment.
- Possess sensational customer service philosophy and a self-starting personality with an even disposition.
