Description

The Opus Westchester is a luxury lifestyle hotel that is part of Marriott's Autograph Collection located in the White Plains area in New York. The Opus Westchester is looking for a Spa Supervisor to join our team. Reporting to the Spa Director, The Spa Supervisor will assist the Spa department with the guest satisfaction and the efficient operation of the hotel by assisting front & back of the house operating departments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain complete knowledge of all hotel features, services, and hours of operation, all spa services and products, fitness programs, salon.
  • Assist in the daily operations for the spa, booking appointments, inventory of professional products, etc.
  • Assist in all aspects of the spa member fitness areas.
  • Assist with all member and fitness billing, cancelations, changes and or cancelations.
  • Assist in all fitness and Spa promotions to generate spa revenue.
  • Assist with hiring staff, disciplinary action and motivation of staff members.
  • Assist with monthly forecasting and maintains guidelines of Spa budget while making optimal use of financial resources.
  • Attend hotel meetings in the absence of the Spa Manager.
  • Maximize net operating income and owner’s equity through sales generation and cost control procedures.
  • Assists with ongoing training and development of each associates.
  • Continuous evaluation and improvement of the operations.
  • Attends sales & catering meetings. Work closely with the catering department to accommodate group requests. Review group billing and procedures to ensure accuracy.
  • Work with the housekeeping department in regards to the cleanliness of the facility maintaining high levels of cleanliness. Tracks spa maintenance work tickets and repairs.
  • Ensures that service standards exceed guest expectations. Addresses guest and employee concerns constructively and effectively.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.

Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to effectively deal with internal and

external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy

to defuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts. Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Safety & Security:

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent. Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
