We are looking for a F&B pro to join our team at beautiful Horseshoe Bay Resort!


Responsible for managing the daily operations of a demanding and spacious indoor and outdoor Restaurant with Pool Bar & Grill service. From fine dining to casual seafood and accommodating guests approaching from the lakeside or by car, the Yacht Club and Waterfront Restaurant are popular warm-weather dining outlets. The Director is ultimately responsible for the quality of service provided.


  • Supports and manages the Waters complex operations and staff while working closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, Restaurant Associates, and other hotel departments.
  • Responsible for short and long term planning of all outlets, including Restaurants and Pool Bar & Grill areas.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching staff, striving to build a positive, supportive culture and environment balancing extremely high standards and accountability with personal recognition and appreciation.
  • Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results.
  • Full understanding of Associate engagement.
  • Develop and implement creative strategies for revenue enhancement and cost containment.
  • Develop and recommend the budget, marketing plans and objectives. Manage within those approved plans.
  • Proactively plan, coordinate and manage special events and holiday functions.
  • Ability to take the initiative to run the outlets as a free standing entity.
  • Communicates the importance of safety procedures and processes; ensuring associates’ understanding and consistency of working safely.
  • Seek out guest comments and feedback and offer meaningful solutions to customer complaints.


  • Minimum age requirement – 18+ (21+ if driving licensed Resort vehicle)
  • Food Handler’s Certificate
  • TABC Certificate
  • Tips Trained required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the requirements of driver insurability as established by the insurance carrier required.
  • College degree in a hospitality related industry, valued.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Must have five years of experience in the food and beverage industry and minimum one year senior leadership experience.


    • Previous banquets and events planning and execution experience; resort experience preferred.
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite required.
    • Knowledge of various software programs, valued. Knowledge of Agilysys POS system preferred.
    • Encourage OSHA Hazard Communication Standard training and certification. Operate 10-key calculator by touch.
    • Ability to schedule employees.
    • Ability to inventory and set up production areas.
    • Ordering experience.
    • Ordering experience.
    • Knowledge of different types of food and beverage production.
    • Knowledge of different types of wine and spirits and their service.
    • Supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills.
    • Requires flexibility of schedule, creativity, social and interpersonal skills, decision making ability, initiative and sense of urgency. These skills are required in order to address the daily items or issues which occur on a daily basis within the resort.
    • Strong management, organizational and follow-up skills.
    • Requires a high degree of problem solving abilities. Requires excellent oral and written communications skills.
    • Ability to get along well with others, to demonstrate flexibility and patience, to work as a member of a team.
    • Detail oriented and self-motivated.
