**Hours: both AM and PM shifts including weekends and holidays**

To participate in the preparation of all items in the Culinary Outlets and associated areas in conformance with the BEO’s, business levels and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. To maintain the cleanliness, repair and safety of the equipment and areas used in the scope of your duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Participate in the preparation and production of cold food items in the daily prep list. Ensue quality, portion size, presentation and organization of all prepared product by day/function/group name. To prepare the garnish for all pantry presentations.
- Coordinate and utilize the proper handling of food and equipment used in the scope of Pantry responsibilities. Ensure that service areas and storage areas are clean, maintained and in proper working order according to the Federal and State Health Department, Hilton, and Crescent standards.
- Monitor the physical environment for unsafe conditions and correct them when found. Monitor all procedures and policies to ensure safety in accordance with Federal and State Health Department, Hilton, and Crescent standards
- Comply with attendance policies
- Date all food containers and rotate as per Hilton and Crescent standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
- Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables.
- Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Crescent standards.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Finger/hand dexterity in order to operate food machinery. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 50 lbs. on a continuous schedule.
Experience
- Two year institutional or commercial cooking required

Licenses or Certificates
- Valid Maricopa County Food Handler’s Card
