Description
General Duties:
- Able to read and understand BEO’s
- Accessible to staff all day
- Prepare action plan for groups one week in advance
- Work closely with Captains to ensure the quality and quantity of foods and process guest checks
- Coordinate room set ups taking into consideration flow, entrances, exits and guest preference.
- Identify possible up-sell in Audio/Visual and Banquets
- Walk all meeting rooms in the beginning of the shift before guest arrival for correct set-up
- Work closely with Red coats for room sets and help as well
- Be the first to smile and greet the guest everyday
- Monitor pre-function interior and exterior space for cleanliness
- Correct staff for proper service techniques
- Assist Banquet Captains and Manager by holding associates accountable for all policies, procedures and systems

Employment Standards:
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Comprehend reading materials, speak, read and write English.
- Neat in appearance and well groomed.
- Maintain proper associate uniform standards and footwear which is slip resistant and polished.
- To ensure superior service and sanitation standards, all rooms and table top utensils must be detailed and presentable prior to every function
- Make sure all equipment is in working order for the department
- Be active in preventative maintenance around the resort
- Requires problem solving abilities.
- Maintain a clean, safe and environmentally responsible work environment.

Required Certifications:
- Minimum age requirement – 18+
- Food Handler’s Certificate
- TABC Certificate
- Tips Trained required
- Two years previous banquet serving experience, preferably in a resort setting is valued.
- Requires a working knowledge of ala carte, fine dining as well as white glove practices.
- Working knowledge A/V, Weddings, liquor/wine and Banquets.
- Encourage OSHA Hazard Communication Standard training and certification.
