Description

Definition: The Tennis Court Maintenance Attendant performs routine manual labor involved with maintenance of the hard and clay courts as well as entire tennis facility..
No experience needed, will train.
General Duties:
- Ensure daily maintenance of tennis courts (hard and clay) and pickleball courts.
- Water, roll, drag surface, and sweep lines of clay courts.
- Safely operate clay court maintenance equipment and hand tools.
- Operate a backpack or handheld blower for debris clean-up of sidewalks and hard courts surfaces.
- Pick-up, empty and remove debris and trash.
- Maintain court coolers, ice chests and tennis shoe cleaners
- Keep equipment shed neat and orderly
- Maintain court tapes, nets, fences and gates in good condition and repair as needed
- Carry out preventive maintenance of major equipment (golf cart, roller, blower) as directed by Tennis staff.
- Communicate material and equipment needs to Tennis staff in a timely manner.
- Communicate court conditions to Tennis staff
- Assist in special events and tournament organization as assigned.
- Perform other duties and assignments to assist other departments or as directed by the Director of Tennis.
Employment Standards:
- Grounds maintenance background preferred.
- Working knowledge of and ability to safely use hand and power tools and equipment.
- Basic plumbing and electrical skills
- Must have the physical strength, stamina and agility to perform the assigned duties.
- Experience with clay courts maintenance is preferred but will train as needed.
- Responsible for attending all company required training sessions; including but not limited to safety, human resources, equipment, etc.
- Basic oral and written communication skills and able to follow instructions.

Required Certifications:
- Minimum age requirement – 18+ (21+ if driving licensed Resort vehicles)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the requirements of driver insurability as established by the insurance carrier required.
- High School diploma or equivalent General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Majority of the work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions common to Texas including extreme temperatures, rain and wind.
- Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
