Description

The successful lifeguard is able to assess situations swiftly and make judicious decisions regarding the safety of swimmers.

General Duties:

  • Explain and enforce rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of members and guests.
  • Monitor designated areas to recognize signs of danger.
  • Warn members and guests regarding unsafe situations.
  • Maintain order.
  • Respond to emergencies and rescue swimmers in danger of drowning.
  • Perform first aid procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all areas.
  • Maintain records and reports.

    Supportive Functions:

    Perform tasks in a team-based environment.

    Professionally always represent Dream Hotel Hollywood during shifts and /or when on property for job related issues.

    Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Proficient in interacting with people of various ages from diverse backgrounds.
  • Available to work shifts.
  • Physically fit, strong, agile, and dexterous.

    Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions common to Texas.
  • Very observant.
  • Ability to assess a situation and respond quickly and appropriately.
  • Must be able lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
  • Team oriented.
    • Clean and prepare chairs, lounges and umbrellas, according to the pool diagram.
    • Open all umbrellas.
    • Place towels in guest chairs.
    • Stock towels in towel cabana.
    • Open towel cabana for guests.
    • Update conditions board as needed.
    • Keep pool area clean of dishes, glasses and trash at all times.
    • Provide pool towels to guests.
    • Return pool towels to the laundry for washing.
    • Maintain pool chairs, lounges and umbrellas in clean, working condition.
    • Report maintenance and safety concerns in a timely manner.
