  • This role will assist in multiple areas of accounting as needed related to the day-to-day operation of accounting processes and duties. Accounting tasks, to include but not limited to:

    • Accounts Receivable functions: Billing, collections, payments, deposits, and Group billings
    • Income Audit functions: Reviewing daily reports, reconciling payments, balancing taxes, reviewing F&B charges, etc.
    • A/P functions: Review statements, process purchase orders and invoices. Assist with other A/P and General Cashier tasks such as monthly bank counts, Petty cash processing, invoice entry, etc.
    • Prepare variance analysis to budget and forecast
    • Support in compilation of annual and periodic budget information
    • Employee expense report processing
    • Any other Accounting related tasks to assist the accounting office in the day the day operations, including cross training and filling in for other accounting staff when needed
    • Prefer prior hotel accounting experience along with proficiency in Opera, M3, and BirchStreet

    • Ensure GAAP are being adhered to appropriately
    • Required to understand, guide and implement effective internal controls to meet Sarbanes Oxley requirements
    • Any other directives as assigned by your supervisors

Education and experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of related progressive experience in related field.
  • Experience working in hospitality industry preferred

    For applicants who will be working in NYC, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $31.25 to $36.05 per hour. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, work location, etc. Crescent Hotels is a multi-state employer and the salary ranges indicated herein may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
