Compensation: $20.32 per hour

Description

The Pool Attendant at Dream Hollywood responsibilities:

  • Clean and prepare chairs, lounges and umbrellas, according to the pool diagram.
  • Open all umbrellas.
  • Place towels in guest chairs.
  • Stock towels in towel cabana.
  • Filter backwash (as needed) and perform chemical and water level maintenance.
  • Open towel cabana for guests and provide guest services
  • Update conditions board as needed.
  • Keep pool area clean of dishes and trash at all times.
  • Provide pool towels to guests.
  • Return pool towels to the laundry for washing.
  • Maintain pool chairs, lounges and umbrellas in clean, working condition.
  • Report maintenance and safety concerns in a timely manner.

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous hospitality experience preferred. Knowledge of pool cleaning and general pool maintenance is a plus but will train quality individual.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Individuals must be able to communicate in English and be able to express themselves accurately and concisely.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations, in a quick, courteous manner.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

The employee must be able to work in an outdoor environment throughout the day and perform general pool maintenance tasks. Must be able to use chemicals and equipment safely. Must be able to react to emergency situations in a calm, professional manner.
