Area Revenue Analyst - Hybrid North Chicago

Compensation: $80,000 to $85,000 per year

The Area Revenue Analyst will work directly with the Commercial Leadership team and property management teams to maximize room revenue across a portfolio consisting of Hilton and Marriott hotels. This role focuses on optimizing room inventory, pricing strategies, and market mix across multiple distribution channels. The analyst will help develop revenue-generating strategies tailored to each property's unique market conditions and brand requirements, with the goal of enhancing profitability and overall performance.

The role is Hybrid remote and on property. The property is in the North Chicago suburbs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Revenue Optimization: Manage and optimize room inventory and pricing strategies across the hotels. Develop room rates and availability strategies based on market conditions and demand, while ensuring adherence to brand standards property.
  • Data Analysis & Forecasting: Analyze historical data, market conditions, and demand trends to generate accurate booking forecasts and revenue projections for each hotel.
  • Portfolio Performance Tracking: Monitor the performance of all hotels by benchmarking key performance indicators (KPls) such as occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR. Present performance data and provide strategic recommendations to regional and property teams.
  • Rate Plans: Build and manage rate plans according to established revenue management guidelines. Assist is loading them to be sold across various distribution systems.
  • Promotional Performance: Track and assess the effectiveness of sales promotions and tactical offers, with a focus on driving revenue and achieving set performance targets across the portfolio.
  • Distribution Channel Management: Monitor and manage room inventory and pricing across all distribution channels, ensuring optimal placement and exposure for each property.
  • Annual Revenue Strategy: Assist in developing and reviewing annual revenue and pricing strategies in collaboration with each hotel's management team.
  • Reporting & Presentations: Update, process, generate and distribute daily, weekly and monthly revenue management reports and enter data into various systems, including Excel.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive set assessments and industry benchmarking for each property. Analyze competitors' pricing strategies and demand patterns to inform decision-making.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Expertise in Hilton and Marriott Revenue Systems with Hilton required: Proficiency in revenue management tools (e.g., GRO, One Yield, MARSHA)
  • Excel & Business Intelligence Tools: Advanced Excel skills and experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., STR, Amadeus, Lighthouse) for data analysis and revenue modeling.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on interpreting complex data and making revenue-boosting decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to present analysis and recommendations clearly and effectively to both branded and independent hotel teams.
  • Hotel Management System Experience: Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) and Channel Management tools used by Hilton and Marriott hotels.
