Position Overview

Elysee New York is seeking an experienced and passionate Food & Beverage Manager to oversee the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, this leader will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving operational excellence, developing team members, and maximizing financial performance across all food and beverage operations.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in a luxury environment and has a passion for service, leadership, and creating memorable experiences for guests.
Guest Experience & Operations- Lead the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurant, bar, lounge, and in-room dining.
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through visible leadership and active engagement with guests.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance service and overall guest experience.
- Maintain the highest standards of service, cleanliness, presentation, and hospitality.
- Assist service teams during peak periods to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense management for the Food & Beverage department.
- Monitor labor costs, food costs, and beverage costs to maximize profitability.
- Participate in monthly beverage and retail inventories.
- Participate in quarterly china, glassware, and silverware inventories.
- Manage purchasing and inventory controls to minimize waste and ensure proper stock levels.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop food and beverage team members.
- Create a positive and engaging work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Address employee concerns and performance issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure team members understand and execute all service standards and operating procedures.
- Partner with hotel leadership to create and execute promotions that drive food and beverage revenue.
- Support special events, local partnerships, and community engagement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Catering teams to maximize guest experiences and business opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to enhance revenue while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent guest service and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of food, wine, spirits, beer, and beverage operations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with POS and inventory management systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate with guests, team members, ownership, and leadership teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive Food & Beverage experience in an upscale or luxury hospitality environment.
- Minimum 3 years of management experience overseeing restaurant and bar operations.
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest service and achieving financial objectives.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, service standards, and inventory controls.
- Experience in a luxury hotel, boutique hotel, or fine dining environment.
- Experience within the New York City hospitality market.
- Food Safety Manager Certification and TIPS Certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Experience with Micros or similar POS systems.
