Executive Meetings Manager
Populus Denver
240 14th Street
Denver, CO 80202
Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000 per year
Description
About Populus
Populus is the first carbon positive hotel in the United States. Inspired by the aspen groves that give the building its name and its form, the property was designed to return more than it consumes, from the materials within its walls to the ingredients on its plates. Located in the center of Denver, Populus was built to leave the city better than it was found.
The position
The Executive Meetings Manager sells and details small group business at Populus, typically groups of ten to twenty room nights. The role carries an inquiry from the first response through contracting, detailing, and execution, which means the client works with one person across the whole relationship rather than being passed between departments.
Responsibilities
What the position requires
Candidates arriving from catering sales, conference services, or a comparable coordination background are encouraged to apply. Detailed discipline and relationship judgment matter more here than years in a particular seat.
Sustainability and stewardship
Meeting planners increasingly need to document what a property delivers, not just describe it. This role provides that proof, connecting how Populus operates to what a client's program actually achieves in sourcing, waste, and reporting for lasting return on meeting investment. At Populus, that proof is frequently the reason a group signs.
Compensation and benefits
$65,000 to $75,000
If you care deeply about people, take pride in doing the right thing, remain curious, and want to contribute to something larger than a single shift, you will find a place at Populus. Together create experiences that leave our guests, and the world around us, better than we found them.

Populus Denver
Hotel with 265 Rooms
We started with a question: What would it look like to bring nature back into our cities? As a community of environmentalists and entrepreneurs, we imagined a hotel inspired by nature. From biophilic architecture, natural materials, original art, and seasonal cuisine, there is a love for the natural world in every detail. Populus was created by Urban Villages, designed by AD100 architecture firm Studio Gang and led by MacArthur Fellow Jeanne Gang, brought to life by interior designer, Heather Wildman of Wildman Chalmer Designs, with a thoughtful art program curated by environmentalist Katherine Homes, and operated by Aparium Hotel Group.
