Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all stewarding operations, including dishwashing, pot washing, sanitation, and kitchen cleaning
  • Ensure all kitchen, banquet, and food service areas meet local health department regulations and Hilton brand standards
  • Develop and maintain cleaning schedules for kitchens, storage areas, equipment, and back-of-house spaces
  • Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and stewarding equipment
  • Monitor proper use, handling, and storage of chemicals in compliance with safety standards (MSDS/SDS)
  • Support all banquet and restaurant operations by ensuring timely setup and breakdown of equipment and supplies
  • Partner with Culinary and F&B leadership to ensure seamless daily operations and event execution
  • Train, coach, and supervise stewarding team members to maintain high performance and accountability
  • Ensure proper staffing levels based on business demand, including scheduling and labor management
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance standards are consistently met
  • Implement and maintain waste management and recycling programs
  • Report and follow up on maintenance issues to ensure equipment is functioning properly
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team in a fast-paced resort environment
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 3–5 years of stewarding or kitchen operations experience, preferably in a hotel or resort environment
  • Previous supervisory or management experience required
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation standards, food safety, and health regulations
  • Ability to lead in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in scheduling, labor management, and inventory control
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs or more
  • Frequent bending, lifting, and exposure to hot and wet environments
