A Corporate Director of Capital Projects is responsible for supporting the planning, budgeting, financial analysis, and execution oversight of hotel renovation and capital improvement projects. The role blends financial modeling, project management, and cross‑department coordination to ensure capital projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with brand and ownership objectives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Capital project tracking — Maintain schedules, budgets, and documentation for hotel renovation and maintenance projects.
  • Financial analysis — Perform forecasting, cost analysis, project performance reviews, and ad‑hoc financial reporting for design & construction teams.
  • Budget development — Support annual capital budgeting through data collection, organization, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cross‑functional coordination — Work with project management, finance, acquisitions, asset management, operations, architects, designers, and contractors to ensure project alignment.
  • Due diligence support — Assist with acquisition/disposition due diligence, including data gathering and document control.
  • Brand compliance analysis — Identify capital needs to maintain brand standards and preventative maintenance requirements.
  • Reporting & documentation — Create templates, maintain databases, and distribute routine reports to stakeholders.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Analytical skills — Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and Excel proficiency.
  • Project management knowledge — Ability to read construction drawings, understand renovation workflows, and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Technical tools — Experience with project management or cost‑tracking software
  • Communication skills — Clear written and verbal communication for cross‑department collaboration. Remotive
  • Education — Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, related fields
  • or 10 years of experience in the field
