ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage the daily functions of the security department to ensure optimal safety and compliance.
- Maintain protection or property assets, employees, guests and property.
- Maintain logs, certifications, and documents required by law and standard operating procedures.
- Develop and implement emergency and risk management procedures.
- Provide guidance and direction to team members, set performance standards, and monitor their performance to ensure high levels of service and safety are maintained.
- Conduct safety training with new team members and periodically.
- Coach and discipline team members according to Crescent Hotels & Resorts standards.
- Implement and run safety meetings, adhere to brand and Crescent audit requirements, and legal requirements including OHSA.
- Available to work on a regular basis.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- A minimum of three years of experience in security leadership within the hotel industry is required.
- Prior experience as a Director of Security preferred.
- Marriott brand knowledge is highly preferred.
