JOB OVERVIEW: Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate has fine dining experience, strong technical ability, and a commitment to excellence in every dish. This role requires precision, creativity, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards

  • Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and plating consistency

  • Assist with station setup

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation

  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure timely service

  • Assist with inventory management and proper storage of ingredients

  • Adapt to seasonal menu changes and special event menus

  • Perform other related job duties
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional kitchen experience (fine dining preferred)

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and plating

  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills

  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Comfortable working in a high-temperature kitchen environment

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Finger/hand dexterity in order to operate food machinery. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule.

Safety & Security:

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent. Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
