Job Summary

The Queen’s Cue, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is seeking engaging and experienced Apothecaries - Bartenders to join our Food & Beverage team in Stratford.

Historically, an Apothecary was a skilled keeper and creator of carefully blended remedies, tinctures, and tonics - a fitting namesake for those crafting the pours and potions behind our bars.

From the crafted elegance of The Queen’s Bar to the spirited atmosphere of the Boar’s Head Pub, private dinners, and special events, our Apothecaries will help create distinctive experiences across the property. This role goes beyond making exceptional drinks - it is about reading the room, creating genuine connections, sharing the stories behind what we serve, and turning each visit into something guests remember.

Does this sound like you?

You have a natural sense of hospitality and know how to make guests feel welcome from the moment they take a seat at the bar. You take pride in a beautifully prepared drink, enjoy sharing your knowledge, and understand how thoughtful recommendations and small details can elevate the entire experience.

You remain composed and organized when service gets busy, balancing speed with accuracy and genuine guest interaction. You are equally comfortable crafting cocktails, discussing wine and beer, maintaining a polished bar, and working collaboratively with the wider Food & Beverage team. You bring personality, professionalism, and confidence to every shift and are comfortable working a variety of daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
