Pastry Cook – Culinary Team | Horseshoe Bay Resort
Location: Horseshoe Bay, TX
Rate: $18.00/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time (On-Site)
Position Summary
Horseshoe Bay Resort is seeking a Pastry Cook to support banquet operations by preparing and presenting high-quality baked goods and desserts. This role is responsible for executing recipes, maintaining consistency, and ensuring food safety standards in a high-volume kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare breads, pastries, and desserts according to standardized recipes and production schedules
- Assist with plating and presentation for banquet events
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
- Assist with inventory control and proper use of supplies to minimize waste
- Collaborate with culinary team members to support daily operations
Qualifications
- 4 years of culinary or food and beverage experience with a high school diploma/GED, or 2 years of experience with a degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management
- Knowledge of pastry techniques, baking processes, and decorating methods
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain consistency in production
- Basic English communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid Food Handler’s Certificate required
- Must wear slip-resistant, enclosed footwear
