Answer the Phone, Open the Door to Lake Life: Reservations Sales Agent, Horseshoe Bay Resort
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
Your Voice. Our Resort. Their Vacation of a Lifetime.
Picture this: crystal-blue waters of Lake LBJ stretching to the horizon, three championship golf courses humming with activity, and a phone ringing with someone who can’t wait to experience it all — and you’re the one who gets to say “welcome.” At Horseshoe Bay Resort, nestled across 17,000 acres of Texas Hill Country splendor, you won’t just answer calls. You’ll craft first impressions, build excitement, and turn curious travelers into confirmed guests ready to make memories on the lake.
This is more than a reservations desk — it’s the front line of hospitality magic, and we’re looking for a quick-witted, people-loving go-getter to join our team.
Why You’ll Love It Here
- Lake Life, Year-Round: Work where others vacation. Horseshoe Bay, Texas is Hill Country charm meets lakeside luxury — rolling vistas, Hill Country sunsets, and a close-knit community vibe you won’t find anywhere else.
- Real Earning Potential: Competitive hourly pay plus commission — your sales savvy directly fills your pocket.
- Full Benefits, Full Peace of Mind: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer match, paid vacation, and paid holidays.
- Room to Grow: Performance reviews and merit-based raises mean your hustle doesn’t go unnoticed.
- A Team That Feels Like Family: Collaborative, detail-driven coworkers who’ve got your back on busy days (and celebrate with you on the good ones).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Be the Voice: Handle a high volume of calls with warmth, polish, and professionalism, converting inquiries into confirmed bookings for rooms, dining, golf, spa, tennis, and transportation.
- Sell the Sizzle: Present rates and packages with confidence and clarity, protecting resort revenue while making every guest feel like a VIP.
- Craft the Itinerary: Keep meticulous records of bookings so every guest’s stay unfolds exactly as promised.
- Stay Sharp: Manage clerical details, confirmation calls, and administrative tasks with precision and care.
- Team Up: Support Group Reservation Coordinators and collaborate across departments to solve guest challenges on the fly.
- Keep Learning: Dive into ongoing training on our Property Management System and amenity booking software — mastering the tools that keep our resort running like clockwork.
- Protect Trust: Handle guest information with the discretion and confidentiality our members and visitors deserve.
What You Bring to the Table
- A High School Diploma or GED (required); 6–12 months in a call center or hospitality setting is a nice-to-have.
- A gift for conversation — you communicate clearly, warmly, and persuasively, whether on the phone or in writing.
- Comfort with computers and a knack for picking up new software quickly.
- A cool head under pressure and a problem-solver’s mindset.
- Basic math skills — percentages, discounts, and totals should feel like second nature.
The Fine Print
- Schedule: 5 days per week on a rotating basis, including some nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Primarily an office environment with occasional outdoor exposure.
- Regular sitting, talking, and listening; occasional standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
